WORSHIP

We believe that in worship God comes to serve us with His Word and Sacraments. God speaks to us as His Word is proclaimed and we respond in confession, prayer, song, praise, and thanksgiving. We invite you to join us for worship and Christian fellowship. Our worship schedule is as follows.

Holy Communion

Confessing the Word of the Lord in love for all who worship at St. John Lutheran Church, and acknowledging the biblical truth that unity with Christ at His altar in Holy Communion embodies Christ's gift of unity in faith and practice, we welcome to The Lord's Supper at St. John all who are communicant members in good standing of The Lutheran Church Missouri - Synod congregation. Communicants are asked to register their participation in our record of fellowship, noting their home LCMS congregation if other than St. John, Bingen. All guests who have not communed at St. John previously are asked to speak with Pastor before the service. If you have any questions about our communion practice, or the Lutheran faith in general, please contact our pastor.

Individual Confession & Absolution

Individual Confession and Absolution is available the 1st Wednesday of every month from 5:00-6:00 PM. Other appointments times can be arranged by contacting Pastor Brock.

"What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits to me? I will offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving and will call on the name of the Lord. I will take the cup of salvation and will call on the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows to the Lord now in the presence of all His people, in the courts of the Lord's house, in the midst of you, O Jerusalem. (Psalm 116:12-13, 17-19)

"I was glad when they said to me, 'Let us go to the House of the LORD!'" (Psalm 122:1)

"And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers" (Acts 2:42).
